Atlas — Privacy Policy

Atlas is a family workspace built by an individual developer, Juan Trejo. We collect as little data as possible, and almost all of what we touch stays on your device or in your private iCloud. This page explains what those exceptions are.
1. What we collect
Nothing leaves your device by default. Atlas does not include analytics, advertising SDKs, behavioural tracking, or third-party crash reporters. We do not maintain an Atlas user database.
2. Data stored in your iCloud
Your tasks, calendar overrides, notes, finances, meals, profiles, and the Atlas Kids companion data are stored using Apple's CloudKit private database in your personal iCloud account. We have no access to these records. Apple's privacy policy applies; see apple.com/legal/privacy.
3. Optional integrations
Notion. If you connect your Notion workspace, Atlas reads the databases you select and writes back updates you authorize. We never send Notion content anywhere else. Your Notion integration token is stored in your iCloud Keychain. Revoke at any time in Settings → Notion sync, or from your Notion workspace's integrations page.
Open-Meteo (weather). If you grant location permission, Atlas sends your approximate latitude/longitude (no personal identifiers) to Open-Meteo's free weather API to render local emojis on your planner. No account, no logging on our side. See Open-Meteo terms.
4. Atlas Kids companion app
Atlas Kids reads the kid-relevant slice of the parent's CloudKit data over a CKShare invite. No data leaves the device beyond CloudKit write-backs to the parent's iCloud. No advertising, no analytics, no in-app purchases inside Atlas Kids.
5. On-device intelligence
Voice capture transcription, the morning briefing, and Smart Capture all use Apple's on-device intelligence frameworks (Apple Foundation Models, on-device Speech). Audio, screenshots, and prompts never leave your device.
6. Children's privacy
Atlas Kids is intended for use under parental supervision. We do not knowingly collect identifying information from children. The parent shares the data scope explicitly using CKShare; revoking the share removes Atlas Kids' access immediately.
7. Deleting your data
In Settings → Data → "Delete all my Atlas data", Atlas removes every record from your device and propagates the deletion through CloudKit to all your other Atlas installations. To also delete your local iCloud copy beyond Atlas's reach, go to Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage → Atlas → Delete Data.
Notion content is not deleted by this action — disconnect Notion from Atlas to remove the integration, and revoke the workspace from your Notion settings if you want the connection record gone on their side.
8. Subscriptions & purchases
In-app purchases are handled by Apple's App Store. Atlas does not receive your payment information; we receive only the transaction receipt that proves you have an active subscription. Cancel any time in your Apple ID Subscriptions.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change anything material, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page and call out the change in the next app release notes. We won't quietly start collecting data.
